Had a good, clean and competitive game, but we fell behind and lost by 2 points.

We had a bit of trouble getting a team together. We did eventually get a start but couldn't get the better of Titans 1.

Tonight's game was another tough one against Titans 2. We were a bit undersized and outpaced but did have moments of brilliance.

Went down to Guzzlers.

Went down to Horatio Horns.

Had to play with just six players and actually managed to hold a slim lead for most of the game. Couldn't stretch the lead as much as we tried and ended up falling behind with a couple of minutes to go. With some desperate play we then managed to even the score and steal the draw.

Had another good game against Lifted Kilts. For most of the game the scores were pretty close but we managed to maintain a slight lead. In the last few minutes we piled on the goals and secured a comfortable win.

Updated toolbar icon so that it looks better on XP. Added character iteration support to Picture Explorer. Added Remove Formatting function. Added Save As function. Fixed menu resizing problems with IE6.

A close game this time against Horatio Horns. They got the early jump on us and managed to maintain their lead for most of the game. They were only ever a few points in from and held the same small margin at half time. We played well but couldn't take control. With just a few seconds to go we managed to equalise and take the centre but we turned it over and they scored as time ran out. A disappointing finish.

Had a tough game against a full Titans team and whatever we tried we weren't able to keep up. They played well and shut us down and end up with a win.

I've been really busy lately so there hasn't been any updates for a while. So I've got a few things to report now:

Wedding: The main reason I haven't been around much lately is because I got married a couple of weeks ago. As well as having to organise the wedding there was the honeymoon afterwards. We had a perfect Sydney day for the wedding, all our friends came from Melbourne and Sydney, and everything went as planned.

Honeymoon: Of course after the wedding there is always the honeymoon. Some people may have noticed that the pictures from the honeymoon were posted a couple of weeks ago. We went to Thailand and had an amazing time. The first 2 days we were in Bangkok where we tried to do as much shopping and site-seeing as we could. Although it was very hot and Bangkok is crowded, dirty and smelly we really enjoyed just looking around and found the place very interesting. We then flew to Ko Samui where we spent the next 8 days staying at Central Samui Village. Ko Samui was great and the accomodation was spectacular. We saw so many great things, had heaps of fun, and still managed to relax just as much as we needed.

Simbolic: The fact that you are here you will already know that my website has a new home. I finally decided to upgrade my Brinkster account - which I've had for a couple of years - from a free limited service to a premium service which gives me a few more features and lets me register my own domain name. There is still a lot of work to do to the root pages, but my stuff is now all up again at www.simbolic.net/greg.

DoD 3.0: A new version of Day of Defeat was released recently which adds a few new maps and a new style of play and updates the spectator mode amongst other things. I haven't actually played the new version much yet and have only seen one of the new maps. I have been a bit distracted also playing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault which is a great game also.

Bradley IE Extensions: My extensions for Internet Explorer have had a few improvements lately and anybody who uses IE and hasn't check them out then now is probably a good time. You can find out more information in the Projects section.

Cleaned up some rendering uglies. Updated Picture Explorer with some new features and cleaner interface. Other small changes.

Played a tough game against Guzzlers and played most of it with 6 players. Unfortunately one of our players got stuck at work and didn't show up until well into the second half. We played well and were leading most of the game. However our lead only stayed at 2 and we just couldn't extend it any further. Then right at the end of the game we made a couple of silly mistakes and they took the opportunity to score under pressure and slip past for the narrow win.

Added tooltips to all menus and functions. Added Bobby usability website functions. Some better error handling. Other small changes.

Unfortunately the other team didn't show up so we just played a scratch match instead.

Even though this was a very uneven game it was still a good standard and everybody played really well. We never looked like losing and had the game wrapped up pretty early.

It wasn't long before we got to play Ibble Dibbles again. This time we had a full team and were determined to reverse some of the embarassment of last time. The game was very tight and both teams were playing great defense which kept scores low. We were in front the whole game and did well under pressure to secure a very close win.

After a couple of weeks of grading game we played our first real game of the new season against All Stars. The game was close in the first half but in the second half we took control and made sure of the win.

Now handles frames a lot better from the toolbar button. If frames are detected then a small anchor is added to each frame and can be selected to render the menu in that particular frame. Added a section for certain elements to display more information about the selected element. Updated the About section with links to readme and to contact the author. Changed slightly some of the colors and borders.

This was the grand final and once again we were up against Ibble Dibbles. Unfortunately the schedule wasn't in our favour and a couple of our players were away and couldn't make the game. So we had to face them with just 6 players and without any height. There wasn't much we could do to prevent a thrashing and although it was tough we still tried to have fun with it and at least made an effort. Hopefully next time we make the grand final we can get a full team.
